We fill chips with a special glass resin composition, which restores the glass strength and transparency. Carglass® specialists use unique glass repair equipment: a device for injecting resin under high pressure, an ultraviolet lamp and polishing tools. This equipment is patented by the industry leading company Berlon® Group, and this type of glass repair can only be performed in Carglass® centers. Other services do not use this technology.

Patented Carglass® Repair Process

Preparation of the Damaged Area

The glass repair process begins with careful preparation of the damaged area. First, we make sure that the chip is as clean as possible and that our special polymer for repairing chips adheres well to the windshield.

Filling the Chip with Polymer

After preparation, we place a special device on the damaged area that creates a vacuum. Once all the air has been removed, the damaged area is filled with polymer. The polymer bonds with the glass and restores its integrity. During the filling process, the polymer enters all microcracks, filling them evenly, without air bubbles.

Polymer curing

Once the damaged area is filled with polymer, the curing process begins. We cure the polymer with a special UV light tool. It takes about 3 minutes for the polymer to fully cure. During this important process the polymer gains the necessary strength and resistance.

Finishing the work

Once the polymer has hardened, we remove the excess polymer from the windshield and polish the repaired area until the glass is completely smooth. Now the repair is complete.

How much does glass repair cost?

Vehicle glass repair is the fastest solution to restore the glass to its original condition. If the glass is damaged in more than one place, we offer a 50% discount on the second repair for the same glass.

The cost of repairing a chip in the glass is:

Repairing one chip: €79.
Repairing a second (or third) chip on the same glass at the same time: €39.50.

If you have KASKO or glass insurance, the insurance company usually covers the cost of the chip repair. We will handle all the administrative insurance formalities related to the glass damage for you.
